Director Note: This was something I could just see happening while reading and I felt a click when I first read it. I felt i could play with this scene and truly mold it into something amazing. My favorite part of directing this was working with my actors and really seeing their creativity flow in their character and the fun I have with my group it feels like a small family with the positive energy and vibes we bring to each other

Director Note: I chose this show because the message of this story is incredibly relevant and important for people to hear in our current political and social state. I enjoyed working with the actors and seeing the amount of passion and emotion they're putting into their characters, especially since this is such a heavy topic and hopes everyone comes out with a new understanding of the problems of rape and rape culture after seeing this show. I also hope they take the time to understand and help victims of rape and sexual assault.
BRAIN SUCKING, A 10-MINUTE PLAY
(From Great Short Plays for High Schools, Colleges, and Universities)
Written by Stephen Bittrich
Directed by: Kyle Sahmel
Cast: Moses Aponte, Nicolaus Brown
Stage Manager: Peter McNamara
Set Design/ Construction: Nigel Bryant, Victor Guminski
Light Design: Brayden Teron
Sound Design: Griffin Jurenko
Costume Design: Jay’vion Loggins, Jordan Madison

Director Note: I chose this play because I liked the idea of two cowboys out in the middle of nowhere, and one is just saying nonsense. Reminds me of my prime.(6th grade). I love the fact that we had total control over what the set would look like and I had the ability to give the actors lots of on stage movement to counteract the long and mostly one sided dialogue and I am really proud of my actors and how they work so well together.
