Aidan Deighan (Xander) has sung in choirs and as a soloist in a variety of contexts and genres, from classical choral music to musical theater to ancient Byzantine chant. A multi-faceted artist, he is also a composer, violist, theater producer, and recording artist. He is currently studying composition and recording arts at JHU’s Peabody Institute with Michael Hersch and Ed Tetreault.

Zoë Sheller (Ryan) is thrilled to be a part of the SYGKM cast and get back to her musical theater roots! Zoë is a senior pursuing her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance, studying with Elizabeth Futral. Next year, she will begin her Master's of Music in Opera Performance degree at Oklahoma City University, studying with Dr. William Christensen. Zoe would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for their love and support!

Jacob Eliot Elfner (Adam/Music Director) is a baritone currently based in Baltimore, MD. While pursuing his Bachelor’s degree, Jake sang the roles of Peter Quince (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Cinderella’s Prince (Into the Woods). Jake sings as a vocal fellow with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and is a section leader at First & Franklin Presbyterian Church. He also sang as a soloist in Faure’s Requiem. Jake will be pursuing his Master’s degree next fall at Peabody, studying with Dr. Carl DuPont.

Chun Yung Rosanne Lee (Vanessa) is a soprano currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Elizabeth Futral. She made her operatic debut with Opera Hong Kong as Le converse in Suor Angelica in 2017. Her operatic engagements include productions of Hansel and Gretel, When Mozart Meets Da Ponte, Don Giovanni, Turandot, Otello, Madama Butterfly, and Roméo et Juliette. She appeared in the online musical adaptation of The Happy Prince as Match-girl in 2020.

Arielle Gordon Babo (Maya Karsons) is making her Peabody Conservatory debut after a long break from performing. After graduating from Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in musical theatre, she performed in many shows in NYC and the DC area. She now teaches Pilates and enjoys singing in the shower. Love to her husband Zach!

Johanna Privado (Leila/Mrs. Johnson) is making her acting debut in Senior Year Is Gonna Kill Me! Her experience includes rehearsals as Maria in West Side Story before COVID shut down the production. Her favorite thing about theatre is always getting to try something new. Thank you to her family for the constant support.

Darrell La (Chuck/Mr. Williams) only began acting in theater productions this past year. Growing up watching Frozen every weekend, Darrell is a die-hard Disney fan. A Biology and Philosophy double major, he has acted and written several plays for Hopkins’ Witness Theater, such as Varsity Stand-Up and Series of Gossipy Events.

Kate Ketelhohn (Principal Henry/Officer Simons) has been involved with theater her entire life. She spent many years at First Stage Children’s Theater as a student and member of Young Company. Her favorite roles include Tiny Tim, Perdita in the Winter’s Tale, and JoJo in Suessical. Not only an actor, Kate has also won numerous writing awards including the Playwright Discovery Award at the Kennedy Center, and has had 8 plays fully produced. She has worked as a director, a fight choreographer, and a public speaker for disability awareness.
