Chakira-Iliana Doherty
Director
has been a professional performer for almost 30 years. Her performance credits include Eva in Evita, Aida in Elton John’s Aida, Julie LaVerne in Show Boat (BroadwayWorld nomination for Best Actress in a Musical), Sarah in Ragtime, Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray, and Princess Jasmine in the national tour of Aladdin. Directing credits include The Giving Tree, After Juliet and The Glass Menagerie. Here at Sewanhaka she has directed All Shook Up, Titanic, Les Miserables, Legally Blonde, In the Heights, Children of Eden and Beauty and the Beast. In addition to directing, Mrs. Doherty is an award-winning costume designer. She holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University and a Masters of Music Education from Hofstra University. She is a full-time Vocal Music teacher in the North Bellmore Elementary School District. She is proudest of her most recent productions: Eva and Ellie Doherty!

Rachel Nadler
Music Director
is a two-time graduate of Hofstra University, earning her B.S. in Vocal Performance in 2011 and her M.S. in Music Ed in 2012. She is an active opera singer and chorister, and currently performs with the eVoco Voice Collective. She has taught private voice lessons for over 10 years, and works as a general music and chorus teacher in the Hicksville School District. She is so proud to work with these wonderful Sewanhaka students.

Amanda Montoni
Choreographer
is thrilled to be choreographing at Sewanhaka for the 3rd year in a row. Her past SHS credits include Children of Eden and Beauty and the Beast. Other Choreography credits include Ragtime (FSF Theatre Group), Thoroughly Modern Mille (FSF Theatre Group), Broadway Around the World (Royal Star Theatre), Spamalot (Hicksville High School), Side by Side by Sondheim (Royal Star Theatre), and Cabaret (Parkside Players). She is also a performer. Some of her favorite credits include Thoroughly Modern Mille (Ms. Flannery), Nunsense (Sister Robert Anne), and most recently Spamalot (Patsy). She teaches dance at J-J'd Dance Studio here Floral Park and Gold Coast Arts Center in Great Neck. She is a Co-Founder and Director of Communications at Royal Star Theatre in Jamaica Estates, Queens. She would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support.
