HISTORY
At the disbandment of SU Theatre, in April of 2004, a group of students put in a request to the Student Senate to create a new theatre organization that would called Act V Productions.
Act V Productions is a completely student run organization on campus that provides Shippensburg students with opportunities in acting, singing, dancing, management and even directing shows! Students interested in behind the scenes work are also a core part of the Act V family as members perform all set construction, stage crew work, lighting and sound design of Act V shows. Act V Productions has multiple full length productions every year, ranging from plays to one acts and even larger musicals.
During an average Fall semester there will be two full length plays, one being a drama and the other a comedy; with chances to perform in various other campus events such as Homecoming Lip Sync, family events and more. Act V membership also gets to submit their votes on what show we will produce the following semester as our Spring Musical.
During the Spring, Act V puts on a musical, a one act play and finishes the year with our Act V Banquet, which is an award show and cabaret for our membership.
