Dear Cast and Crew:
It seems like we just got together for the first time, and here it is showtime already! I am always blessed by new relationships I get to make during a show, and by the joy of “coming home” to previous cast members. Hold on to your courage, and have no fear of failure; in failure is learning and strength. Mrs. Warren and I believe in you, and we have endeavored to help you believe in yourself! I expect great things from all of you, including seeing you again in next year’s cast! The best part of the journey is watching the growth in each of you as you learn and mature into confident and capable young people. To my Seniors, I can’t even.......it’s bittersweet to see my babies growing up, and having to let you go. Live on, love on, and carry South Cobb into the world to do wonderful things!

Dear Cast and Crew,
I am very proud of the work you have accomplished this semester. You started off as a “bunch of students” and have now truly become a family. You have laughed together, cried together, argued with each other, and supported each other. Each of you has grown immensely as performers, technicians, and individuals. I hope that you know how truly talented, funny, intelligent, and creative you all are, and how much you mean to both Ms. Smiley and me.
To the Class of 2017, make your mark on the world. Remember that every interaction you have with others is an opportunity to build a bridge toward your goal, so be kind. IT’S OKAY TO FAIL: that’s how we learn. Keep your eyes fixed on where you want to get to, but do not miss chances to enjoy those in your peripheral vision who are with you every step of the way. It’s been thrilling to watch you come into yourselves, and I look forward to hearing and seeing what you become.
