FROM THE DIRECTOR
This has been amazing year of firsts for me. It's my first year in the Fine Arts department, I had the pleasure of directing my first One-Act play in the Fall, and I have been given this most amazing opportunity to direct my first musical. Being the new kid on the block, as it were, I was unsure what to expect when I took this position, but I am incredibly happy that I did. In one year I have gained so much from my students and coworkers. This production has been exceptionally challenging from day one. The choreography has been intense, the technical complexity of the show has really made us think outside of the box, and trying to do justice by a story as iconic as Mary Poppins has been no easy task. All in all, however, I am extremely proud of this production. The quality of this cast, crew, and orchestra have been outstanding. When you see these students outside of the theater, give them a hand for all of their hard work and achievements, they truly deserve it!
I would like to extend my gratitude to the administration of our school, the teachers who have lent a hand, the companies and organizations that have worked with us, and most of all, to the parents of our wonderful students, for giving them your undying support!
To my Seniors- Some of you I have known since you were Sophomores, others I had the pleasure of working with last year during "The Little Mermaid," and others, still, I have only met just this year. It has truly been a pleasure teaching and directing you. I will miss each and every one of you and I wish you only the best as you begin the next chapter of your life's journey!
Alex - Thank your for reminding me that I'm an acquarius/capricorn cusp almost daily.
Chloe - No one can match your kindness and sincerity.
Dylan - How you've put up with me over the years, I'll never know.
Eric - We went to the brink of insanity up in that booth. I'll miss that.
Iris - Oh how I have enjoyed our early morning chats over outdated memes.
Jesse - It was a pleasure to meet you this year.
Kristal - Who will squeal "GOOD MORNING MR. BAINES!" after you leave?
Leona - One of the most capable young ladies with a drill I've ever met.
Macey - Practically perfect, in every way. You did good, kid, you did good.
Mackenzie - So glad I got to work with you this year.
Malik - Never lose hold of your sass. Seriously, keep it under control!
Nate - An eagerness and dedication that's nearly unmatched. Thank you.
Steven - One of the most imaginative young men I've ever met.
Tanner - Thank you for being one of the most respectful students I've ever had.
