Heather Taylor
Director
Ms. Heather Taylor, Owner & Director began dance at the age of 6. She grew up in a small town in upstate New York where she studied tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, acrobatics, pointe, and theater. At age 14, her dance group was invited to perform and compete in the Nationally televised show, "Star Search".
From 2004-2008, Heather was a Washington Redskins Cheerleader Ambassador which fostered the opportunity for SRDA to become an official site for the Washington Redskins Jr. Cheer program.
Some of Heather’s former students have gone on to become Washington Wizard Dancers, Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, performers in Broadway shows, attend colleges for dance and theater and have are members of college competition dance teams.
Heather is celebrating her 19th year in South Riding and is happy to share her passion for the art of dance along with her husband, two daughters, and son who also dance at SRDA.
Morgan Taylor
Assistant Director/Dance Instructor
Ms. Morgan is a 2019 Graduate of George Mason University with her BA degree in Theater and a minor in Dance Appreciation.
This is her 19th year with SRDA and 6th year teaching dance at SRDA. Morgan was the lead choreographer at GMU for their 2017 fall musical, "The Gondoliers" and was a member of the Masonettes (GMU Dance Team) in 2016. Her team competed against the top college dance teams in the nation and won a spot in top 5!
Morgan interned with the Monumental Theater Company and was an understudy in their production of "Pippin".
Prior to that, Morgan was on the Freedom High School Dance team and was Captain for 2 of the 4 years she was a member. She is very happy to finish out this amazing year and is looking forward to a wonderful new season.
