A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

I'm so thrilled that you've come to Avonlea to see how Anne endears herself to everyone there.

I was a bit hesitant to take on this well-loved story. I have always directed broad comedy, and have never directed children, although my kids might tell you differently. It has been a joy to work with the kids in this show - and with my now-adult children in my crew! Added is the challenge of bringing a classic to life - especially one that lives in the hearts of so many through the original books, and the film and streaming versions of the story. I hope you come along with us and fall in love with our Anne with an E, as we have. Right now is a perfect time to celebrate innocence, wonder, and confidently knowing onesself even whilst weathering a traumatic, chaotic life. May Anne bring that to your heart.
