Joel Ball
as Doc Porter
Joel Ball returns to Southgate Community Players for his second production with the playhouse. Previously, Joel played Albert Peterson in Bye, Bye, Birdie, and is an avid singer. Joel’s day job as an engineer keeps him busy enough, but he also finds time to personal train and coach kickboxing at local Wyandotte gym, The Fighting Fit. He is excited to get to perform alongside his wife, Kristi, and stretch himself as an actor in this deeply emotional play.

Kristi Ball
as Meg Magrath
Kristi Ball joins the cast of Crimes of the Heart for her fourth production at Southgate Community Players. A lover of great writing and drama, she is excited to bring one of the three Magrath sisters to life on stage. Previously, Kristi has had the privilege to play the wonderful characters of Hope from Almost, Maine and Elvira in Blithe Spirit, among others. When not performing, Kristi works in the film industry as a camera operator and director, and is wife to Joel (Doc) and fur mother to Koda (Dog, uncredited).
