Christian Liberal Arts education offered at Southwest Baptist University affirms the vital role that theatre plays as an act of creative expression and a means for exploring the human condition. As we explore the complexities of the world that is in need of redemption we may represent choices, words, characters, or ideas that do not exemplify what we are taught in God's Word. In order to play these roles faithfully, convincingly, and artistically and honor the legal agreement the school made with the adaptor, the theatre has had many discussions about what it means to be a Christian in this discipline. Through these discussions our students come to a better understanding of what it means to tell important stories about difficult topics as modeled by Christ in the New Testament.
