Amanda Hayden
Director
Amanda Hayden works as a theater educator at Southwest High School. She is enjoying her second year at Southwest High School and is so excited to direct a show this year. Amanda received her Bachelors Degree in Theatre and Peace Studies at the College of Saint Benedict and got her license to teach and working on her Masters of Education at Hamline University. Some of Amanda's favorite shows that she has worked on are "Into the Woods", "The Bad Seed", and "Little Shop of Horrors". She has immense gratitude to an amazing creative team, a welcoming and incredibly supportive community here at Southwest, and to her husband and dog for their consistent love.

Berit Johnson
Music Director
Berit Johnson is a Minneapolis-based singer/actor, voice teacher, and voice coach. She recently completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign after receiving a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a minor in Theatre Art at Concordia College Moorhead. She music directed “Urinetown: The Musical” and “Addams Family: The Musical” for Minneapolis Community Education as well as their summer virtual cabaret, “Songs of Resistance and Resolve”. As a crossover performer in musical theatre and opera, some of her favorite roles include Fox in "The Adventures of Sharp Ears", Woman 2 in "Songs for a New World", Celia in "Iolanthe", and Janet in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. Berit extends her thanks to all who worked hard to make this beautiful piece of art with the limitations of a pandemic!

Chris White
Video/Sound Engineer
Chris White previously worked with Southwest on A Chorus Line, Fame, Hairspray, and Les Miserables. He has worked with many high school, college, and semi-pro theater shows over the last 25 years. He is currently the Assistant Production Manager at Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen, MN.
