BK Bradshaw

Librettist

Brenda "BK" Bradshaw is an award-winning author, former elementary and middle school teacher, special reading teacher, and assistant professor of elementary education. An avid reader and writer, BK has always been immersed in children's literature. In recent years, her daughters have given her the inspiration to create the resilient female characters, Crystal Brave and Super Jewels.
Josh Freilich

Composer & Lyricist

Josh earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano from Manhattan School of Music and his MFA from NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, where he wrote his first full-length musical, loosely based on Oscar Wilde’s The Star Child. Josh is a proud member of the Disney Cruise Line family. Josh dedicates this production to the memory of his mentor, William Finn.
Julie Shaw

Director

After performing with Spinning Tree for years, Julie is happy to be back again as a director. After teaching and directing for eight years, she has performed at The New Victory Theatre in New York, The New Theatre, KC Rep, The Coterie, The Unicorn, Musical Theatre Heritage, Quality Hill Playhouse, MTKC Pro, The Chestnut. This fall she can be seen in The Games of Jon Benet at The Unicorn and next spring, Everyone at KCAT. Many thanks to Stuart, Jack and Caroline.
