Joe Heaney

(Playwright) Joe Heaney received his BFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota Duluth and worked for years as an actor, director and writer for an educational theatre company before making the switch to working in education full time. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Academic Behavioral Strategy and works as a high school special education teacher. When not teaching, Joe is still writing plays and fiction. His plays include "The Complete History of Walter and Edgar," "St. Martin, Full of Strangers," "Fools and Madmen," and "Gil and the Wild One." He's married to a singularly wonderful human being named Julia and they live happily with a dog and a rabbit who are the best of friends.

Dan is the Artistic Director of Spring Theatre and is so excited to be directing this play by his good friend, Joe Heaney. Addicted to laughter from an early age, Dan has been entertaining since he could first make noise. He has had the privilege of traveling the world and performing in over 40 different states, 50 different countries, and working with Tony Award-winning actors and directors—all of whom are worse for it. In his off time, he can be found shooting photos, critiquing arthouse films, and making poop jokes.
