I'zaah Gray-Jones
as The Cat in the Hat
is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina who has had an artistic interest since just 5 years old. Over the years, he has remained faithful to his love of dance, whether in school, church, weddings, family gatherings or enjoying the privacy of his room. In 2015, I’zaah won the National Black Theatre Festival Youth Talent Showcase. He is currently enrolled with the Institute of Divine Arts dance studio where he has already won regional and national awards and has been granted scholarships. Some of his favorite roles include Timon in The Lion King Jr, the Narrator in Into The Woods, and the lead role of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Jackson Colo
as Boy/Jojo
Jackson Colo is an active 12 year-old from Winston-Salem. Jackson’s stage credits include Piedmont Opera’s production of The King and I (Louis Leonowens), two seasons in Triad Stage’s A Christmas Carol (multiple roles), UNCSA’s production of Amahl and the Night Visitors (Amahl), as well as Spring Theater’s The Lion King Jr. (Young Simba)and I Promise (multiple roles). A talented singer, Jackson has performed with the WSFCS All-County Chorus, as a soloist with the RJ Reynolds High School Chorus, the Winston-Salem Youth Chorus and the Give Me the Beat choir. Jackson participated in Spring Theatre’s Digital Lock-in and Holiday Project during Covid, and is thrilled to be back at it with Spring Theatre on a live stage.

Ethan Rapier
as Horton the Elephant
Ethan is excited to be playing one of the leads in one of his favorite shows ever. He has been in a few shows with Spring Theatre before, such as Newsies, Sweater Weather & The Secret Garden. Ethan has missed doing theatre and is thrilled to be onstage again. In his spare time, he enjoys literature and talking to friends online.
