Thank you for viewing Broadway Through the Ages, this production was the result of local performers coming together and sharing their talents. The concept for this production was through the creative imagination of Springfield Theater Centers board members and their commitment to keep the community entertained through even the hardest of times.
This production consists of 19 local performers who are singing songs from various Broadway productions through the years, some classics and some new. The performers rehearsed in a four-week schedule while adhering to COVID-19 protocols. It takes great courage to audition and perform for an audience during normal times, add the past years challenges to that and you have an ensemble of very special performers.
Musical numbers were selected specially for the performer’s vocal talent, range and personality. Each performer provides you with a wonderful solo, and we even included some duets. We cover many musical selections from shows performed not only on Broadway, but also here in the Springfield area. You are sure to find your favorite.
