Mrs. Jessica Garcia

Director/Producer

Mrs. Garcia comes from a tight-knit family in the Sacramento area. Her choir teacher in high school changed her life by telling her that she could sing, even though she believed she was tone deaf. From that moment, her love for theatre and music grew, as did her self-confidence, and she ended up majoring in Theatre Arts at California Polytechnic: San Luis Obispo.

She is thrilled she is currently teaching theatre at SAP, and this is her tenth year here. 

She is proud to have directed: Annie Jr., Getting to Know The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Singin’ in the Rain Jr., Aladdin Jr., and Frozen Jr. She has had an amazing time at SAP and is looking forward to introducing students to more musical classics. Mrs. Garcia feels excited and truly blessed to have the opportunity to teach students about the beautiful power of music and theatre! Ms. Nicole Martinez

Choreographer

Ms. Martinez is thrilled to see the Newsies Jr. choreography on stage! She loves to dance and help students recognize their full potential. She strives to make a class environment where, every day, students are encouraged to love each other and God through acts of kindness, empathy, and respect. Ms. Martinez hopes you enjoy the show!

Ms. Chloe Ourada

Choreographer

Ms. Ourada is very excited to be involved with the show this year, especially since Newsies is her favorite musical! She took three years of dance and theatre at Rocklin High School, performing in Once on This Island and 42nd Street. She is currently completing her English major with Dramatic & Film Arts emphasis at Saint Mary’s College of California.

Michelle Bahena

Stage Manager

Michelle is fourteen years old and in the eighth grade. This is her first musical at SAP. In her free time she enjoys rollerblading, reading, and dancing. This year she decided to take on something new. She is very excited to work with these amazing actors in Newsies Jr. Theatre is very new to her but she enjoys helping out the best she can backstage.
