Director's Notes

Welcome to our 2025 show, Aladdin Jr.! I hope you enjoy this amazing musical. This is the largest cast we have ever had, and a lot of things have changed since the last time we did Aladdin Jr. in 2019. We got new lights to just name one!

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about a street rat, who learns that his true worth lies deep within. Aladdin is down on his luck until he discovers a magic lamp with a Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will change everything.

Each of the three main characters (Aladdin, Genie, and Jasmine) all long to be free in different ways. If the show could be summed up in one word it would be freedom. While our true freedom is found only through Christ, it is always inspiring to see a musical that encourages us to be the best version of ourselves everyday.

This year, I’ve been quite inspired by Aladdin Jr. and its theme of freedom. If I trust fully in God, I feel like I am really free and ready to be my best without fear of failure. Being free, I am able to live everyday to its fullest with great joy.
