A Note from the Directors:

Welcome to SCN’s production of Radium Girls!

It is our pleasure to bring this historical fictional play about the young women who were mistreated by a corporation and their fight for justice.  The actors play several roles, all depicting composites of the real people who were impacted by the U.S. Radium Corporation in the town of Orange, New Jersey between the years 1918 and 1928.

It is our hope that you will leave our theatre tonight feeling inspired and empowered after you hear the true story of the Radium Girls.

I would like to thank this wonderful "crast" (cast and crew), especially the ten young actors who make up this ensemble cast and who have worked so hard these last few months to bring you this show.  Thank you to Mr. Pietrie, our Technical Director and Mr. Colton, our Producer. And a huge thank you to Student Director, Dana Feeney, whose ideas and notes are what made this production the tribute to the Radium Girls that we envisioned it to be.

Radium Girls helps to illuminate the mistakes of the past while simultaneously being incredibly relevant and showcasing modern-day challenges we are facing. Everyone made so much progress given the unique constraints of the show, and it has been so fulfilling to watch this come to life. 

I am so grateful to the cast who made this such a fantastic experience and I hope they are as proud of themselves as I am. And I cannot forget about the amazing tech crew who has done so much to support Radium Girls behind the scenes. It has been such a privilege to work alongside Ms.Hryniewicz, and I had a wonderful time exploring creative endeavors with her.
