St. John the Evangelist Parish

 Crew Who's Who

  • Mary Alice Benoit head shot

    Mary Alice Benoit

    Producer

Mary Alice and her friends Brian and Jenni had this crazy idea 11 years ago to put on a play with the children of St. John the Evangelist Parish. She has been in more than 50 productions both on and behind the stage and has recently taken over as the new executive director of the young actors production company, Schaumburg On Stage. She thanks her wonderful staff, her family and friends (and Heidi McGuiggan) for not laughing at her when she said she wanted to build a giant elephant.

  • Brian Scholz head shot

    Brian Scholz

    Director/Lights & Sound

Brian is in Grade 34 of the School of Awesomeness and has directed all 11 shows here at St. John's plus Cheaper By the Dozen and Mary Poppins at WMC Productions in Warrenville. He would like to thank the production staff, his family, Assistant Director Taylor, Producer, Mary Alice and the lovely, gorgeous and amazing Choreographer, Jenni Scholz.

  • Taylor Benoit head shot

    Taylor Benoit

    Assistant Director

Taylor is junior at North Central College where she is majoring in technical theater. She has been on the stage since she was 8 years old and when she is not singing, dancing, directing or producing a show, she loves to read. Taylor would like to thank all of the kids in the cast for always doing their best and she would like to thank her fellow production crew members for all that they do.

  • Jenni Scholz head shot

    Jenni Scholz

    Choreographer

Jenni is a life long dancer and the mother of four St. John's players and wife to the director. On top of that she has choreographed all 11 shows with the St. John's Players and directs and teaches dance at the Streamwood Park District. She would like to thank all of the cast for working so hard preparing for the show. A special shout outs to her favorite Zebra, Joey and Hyena, Andrew.

  • Peggy Lyons head shot

    Peggy Lyons

    Vocal Director

Peggy has been in many shows, but two of her favorite roles were Betty Haynes in White Christmas and Bonnie in Anything Goes. When she is not on stage or helping young people sing, Peggy enjoys scrapbooking and stamping. This is Peggy's second year with the St. John's Players and she would like to thank Brian and Mary Alice for getting her involved.
