Disney's High School Musical JR. - April 25 - April 28, 2018

St. Paul Catholic School

 Acknowledgements

From the Director,

Welcome to our third year of Middle School Theater.  The past 2 years, I've had a tough decision to make as far as what show we are going to perform that year.  This year, there was no contest.  High School Musical was a perfect fit for this class, and I believe their enthusiasm for the show will shine through.  I think everyone can relate to the struggles of the main cast of this show to balance several different interests in their lives, even if it may go against what they are comfortable with.  Alot of our cast hasn't had to chance to either perform on stage or perform in a featured role before, and it has been my pleasure to watch them as they found their voice and talent during these past several months.  The St. Paul Community has been so very supportive of our production this year, and I'd like to take a moment to send some special thank yous:

Mrs. Smoot: For always supporting our performances and reminding me that the school cares very deeply about the Theater and our students, and giving us anything we need.

Sister Joan: For showing her support when she talks to our class, offers them food and treats during long rehearsals, and just overall supporting us at every turn.

Ms. Asenova: For being brave enough to teach our cast harmonies that others would back away from, and from being in the class with me through the thick of it since Day 1!

Lauren: For coming up with choreography that puts the provided ones to shame.  This show is much dance heavier than anything I've done before and we couldn't have done it without you!

Jessica: For always being my rock and sacrificing as much as I have for this show.  We're a team and your love and support has always made this possible for me.

Parents: You've heard this alot from me in the past few weeks, but I just cannot explain how much it means to have had your support for this show.  I'm not good at asking for help, but you all stepped in and saved me from more anxiety than I probably could have handled.  It goes beyond words.  Thank you once again for all your time and energy!

Students: Everytime I was here at school, so were you guys.  This show took alot of work and so many long hours, some on very short notice.  But we pulled together and got to where we are because of your hard work.  It doesn't go unappreciated and I'm so very proud of everyone of you. To Avery, Creighton, Ryan, Ezri, Emma, Richard, Peter Andrew, Lauren, Emily, Maddy, Kaitlin, Peyton, Isa, Tyler, Sadie, Adrien, Wes, and Paige; I'm looking forward to having you in class again next year!  To Karoline, Becca, Kirstin, Maggie, Eve, Sophia, Catie, Katie, Sofie, Alex, Henry, Elena, Jacki, Konrad, Maria, Scotty, and Chase; thanks for pushing me along.  I'm really gonna miss you guys and I look forward to hearing about your future accomplishments in high school!
