Clue - April 20 - April 23, 2023

State Street Junior Players

 Acknowledgements

I want to take a moment to thank everyone that has shown support for this production. I want to thank the amazing cast for bringing life to these characters and dedicating their time to make this show happen. Thank you to all the sponsors and everyone who helped by working on set or lending set pieces. This production couldn’t happen without the help of the community, so THANK YOU! Special thanks to my partner- in-crime, Debbie Watkins. She not only took on the role of Mrs. Peacock but also as producer for this show. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting my theatrical endeavors and allowing us to use their business to print.

Growing up, I loved the board game, Clue. If I’m being honest, I still love the game. I first watched the movie when I was a teenager and fell in love with it, so when we decided to do this play, I was ecstatic. This is a show I have wanted to direct for years and I’m so grateful I finally got the chance. Originally, we thought we would do this production with the “elder” junior players, but we decided to let the adults have a little fun. So we created the State Street ‘Not So’ Junior Players for this show. We decided to use this as a teaching moment and ask our junior players to work backstage and learn the ropes of what goes on behind the scenes. Everyone has done an amazing job and risen to the occasion.

I hope everyone has as much fun watching this production as we had
making it.
