Matilda Jr. - March 23

Stratford Middle School

 Director's Note

Thank you all so much for coming to Stratford Preparatory’s performance of Matilda Jr. This production has been quite the rollercoaster to direct, and I am so thrilled to see our hard work come to fruition. The students worked so hard to bring this production to our stage, and we sincerely hope you enjoy it.

This show reminds us that through darkness and hard times, we can find happiness and magic. We definitely celebrated happiness, magic and friendship at every rehearsal we had. The students created bonds and friendships through the arts that they will never forget. I have so enjoyed my time with your students and watching them blossom into awesome little performers. Thank you so much to all of the parents who encouraged your students to sign up for the arts. It is because of your support that your students were able to have such a transformative and fulfilling experience.

Special thank you to Rachel Bratt for being the backbone of our Theatre Department at Stratford Middle Schools. Thank you for all your hardwork on the coordination of all this craziness!

Thank you to Phil Dolan for being a great help in the coordination of the facilities for our show.

Thank you to Brenna Dickson and Christian Suba for being my right and left hand peeps. You guys helped me keep my head above water and make this production an amazing one!

Thank you to my fiance, Eric, for being my shoulder to cry on, for sitting through all my choreography videos that I was proud of and excited to show you, and for bringing me food on long rehearsal days. Thank you for being here for me and my students today and everyday.

Thank you ALL for being here, and I hope you enjoy the show!
