Alison L. Tugwell
Stage Manager
Stage managing credits include “Into the Woods”, “Guys and Dolls”, “Chicago” (ULM), “9 to 5” (Strauss), & Broadway Knight’s Caberet Showcase in Long Beach, CA. Onstage credits include favorites: “Fiddler on the Roof” (Tzeitel), “Brighton Beach Memoirs” (Norah), & “The Will Roger’s Follies” (ensemble) and "The Music Man (2004, ensemble). Alison is a Speech-Language Pathologist, as well as a contract stage manager, assistant director, and freelance photographer.

Mike Gibbens
Set Design/Direction
Mike has been a part of the Strauss Playhouse for over 30 years. He has been in many plays, including: The Music Man, HMS Pinafore, Mr. Roberts, Showboat, My Fair Lady, Something's Afoot, 1- Keys To Baldpate, I Remember Mama, and No Time For Sergeants. These days, his time is spent building sets and working on both theatre stages. His love of carpentry and theatre lighting fills his volunteer hours. Mike is an employee of CenturyLINK for the second time, having retired in 2003. He and his wife, Dianne, are active members of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and enjoy many activities, including travel and hosting foreign exchange students.

Joel Willer
Technical/Lighting Design
Joel began as a Strauss volunteer 25 seasons ago. He has participated in more than 45 productions on our stage and is a past Christopher Award recipient. He began with high school and community theatre in his hometown of Fremont, Ohio, and his college theatre experience includes two Summer Stock seasons at the University of Findlay in Ohio. With undergraduate and graduate degrees from Kent State University, Joel is retired from the University of Louisiana at Monroe as an assistant professor of Mass Communications and the Director of University Broadcasting, managing radio stations KEDM and KXUL.
