IN MEMORANDUM

MARGARET LOUISE CHAPMAN

Margaret was born in Oakland, CA on May 4, 1951. She held a MS in Theater from Portland State University and was the Resident Costumer/Designer at Portland Civic Theatre for 17 years, and at Stumptown Stages for 7 years. She spent four years as Costumer/Faculty at Portland State University and was past Resident Costumer for Oregon Children's Theater Company and past Resident Costumer/Instructor for Portland Community College/Sylvania Campus. Margaret was a multiple Willie, Drammy, OTAS, ACTF, and PAMTA recipient. She was the past President and Endowment Chair of the Portland Civic Theatre Guild.

 

Margaret was married to Roland Edward Chapman on December 22, 2000.

She a had passion for road trips, concerts, theater anything, fabric, BSA, and camping. She was survived by her children, Stephen Earl Chapman and Andrea Jae Skinner, her grandchildren Alicia Mae Skinner and Jordan Elise Skinner, and her brothers David Steplam Ball and Robert Gordon Ball.

 

The Stumptown Stages family greatly misses our friend and dedicates it's run of "The Full Monty" in her memory.
