Twelve Angry Men - February 11 - February 14, 2015

Stuyvesant High School

 End Notes

Hello everyone,

We’d like to thank you so much for coming to see the show! We hope it’s as enjoyable for you to watch as it was for us to make. As seniors, this will be our last STC drama. It’s bittersweet, but we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to be working with for our last one. Directing this cast has been an absolute pleasure and we wouldn’t have been able to get anything done without our lovely producers. We’d also like to thank our faculty advisors for helping this show run as smoothly as it has.

Coming to the STC at a time when it could not be more relevant in our own current events, 12 Angry Men explores themes of social injustice, false assumptions and prejudice that have continued to resonate with us since the play was first brought to life in 1954.  The “grave responsibility” to decide for ourselves what is true and what is right extends beyond the world of the play; it is a role we all eventually must assume, in the continuing fight for every kind of equality.  The decision is yours--just give it some thought first.

We hope as you all watch our interpretation of this play, you not only appreciate the performance, but also really listen to what the actors are saying. On that note, we hope you have a great time watching the show!

Your directors,

Jasmine and Gabby
