The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza -

Summit International Preparatory

 End Notes

Notes from the Director:

After seeing many audience participation theatre shows I fell in love with this zany script.  Its the right amount of cheesy fun I know children of all ages could enjoy.  So yes the show talks about Greek Mythology, but it also tries to make it relevant to a modern audience.  I see this show as the old Medival Show Wagons, where actors would pull up into the town square and pull out costumes and props from a trunk.

This is a young troupe of actors with many making their stage acting premier and taking on new technical theatre scholars. After seeing the great potential of our primary scholars in The Wizard of Oz, and having the great location of teaching closely near six grade, I felt it would be a great opportunity to include them in the secondary theatre program.  They have not disappointed.

In the spirit of Shakespearian gender bending, our cast rises to the challenge of playing the opposite sex.  Many girls are playing boys and boys playing girls.  The cast also took on the challenge of playing many different roles within the same play.

So, sit back, relax, don't take life to serious, and enjoy the show.

...and as always, thank you for your support!
