On behalf on the entire production team, Director Bryan Wilson would like to thank the following outstanding people, without whom this outstanding production would not have happened:
- Phil Platakis, who shepherded the cast through Cole Porter's witty lyrics and musical phrasing and was, again, a terrific collaborator
- Quintin Nadig, who worked with his theatre production class to design and build the set that invoked the spirit of previous productions of this show
- Brian Lavery, whose lighting and sound design shaped the final show and whose leadership as chair of the performing arts department is much appreciated
- Jim Newman, who was willing to step in to conduct the orchestra, and Kevin Harriman, who still offered guidance while awaiting the birth of his 2nd child
- Jon Cohen, who added another creative voice to the process
- the Taft administration, which under the leadership of Mr. Grishaber has been very supportive of the performing arts
- Savannah and Liz, for being willing to choreograph such challenging songs
- the school's engineering team, for doing what they do
- Visanth Charles, for managing the accounts that made this show possible
- Analise and the rest of the team at Broadway Costumes, for giving this production a professional look and showing what public schools are capable of
- the entire team at Tams-Witmark, who responded to our evolving needs while continuing to manage the rights of the production
- everyone at CustomInk.com, who helped us stay true to our t-shirt designs without breaking the budget
- Tony and ABC Printing, for again giving us beautiful posters and programs
- Harry's Lumber, which has helped supply us with building materials
- Jasper Oliver, for his great pictures, and the video team, led by Kyle Moorhouse and Alex Oats, who have preserved the performances in film.
- my colleagues at Taft, who continue to do amazing work and provide understanding that allows students to take risks while taking on the large responsibilities of performing in a show like this
- Parents and other family members of the cast and crew, for the support of their children during the entire rehearsal process
- In particular, Terri Hehn (Mary's mom), for stewarding another successful concessions drive, and Lisa Schwieger (Sami's mom), for welcome guidance
- Bill Skar, whose influence on the program and guidance from afar continue to be inspiring and reassuring
- the whole cast and crew, whose efforts have continuously been noticed
- Honorable mention goes out to the leadership and dedication exhibited by Sabrina, Eric, and Alyssa while taking on the most challenging roles of their lives. It has been a pleasure to see these three take their natural talents and hone their skills over the last few years--seeing their respective visions for "You're the Top" and "It's De-Lovely" was among the proudest moments of my teaching career
- all of those in my family and in my upbringing who opened my world to the performing arts
- and last, but not least, my wife Marysol and our beautiful children, Alex and Alondra, who have borne the brunt of the sacrifices made for this production process. I promise I'll be home earlier next week!
Thank you all for supporting Taft's performing arts!
