I am so very proud of this production and each and every student who was involved in bringing this show to life. For my first year as the director, I truly could not have asked for a better group of students. The quality of the cast, pit band, stage crew, light crew, and hair and make up crew is remarkable. However, a successful production involves more than what is presented on stage. It should not only be an artistic learning experience but a personal one as well. I am especially proud of the cooperation, mutual respect, level of commitment, and enthusiasm that has been demonstrated by everyone involved in this show. You have become a large family, and the show is better because of it. Thank you for making my job so rewarding and joyful.
To my senior members, Jake, Kasey, Laura, and Cody, I thank you for your dedication and efforts. Each of you has made an important and unique impact on this show, and you will be greatly missed. We all wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to all of the parents who have offered their time, resources, and support throughout this year to help this club to prosper. Your involvement is so important to the overall success of everything we do.
Mark- Thank you for your support and understanding throughout this process. I appreciate it more than I can say.
Carolyn, Kim, and Celeste- I owe you all such a huge thank you. Thanks to your advice and creativity, our props and sets look wonderful. Thank you for answering all of my unending requests for "just one more thing." Your efforts are greatly appreciated by all!
Ruth- I truly appreciate your assistance with the stage crew and all of the many other odds and ends that I have asked you to help me with. You always come through for me, and I cannot begin to thank you enough for that.
Laura- Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into securing all of our costumes and overseeing the hair and make up design. Despite all of our setbacks, everything came together and looks wonderful. I also appreciate all of your assistance with the chaos backstage! You have been a great help.
Jill- Thank you for always coming though for me when I need you. I appreciate all of your efforts to organize our assemblies, advertising, the essay contest, and this playbill. Because of you, I did not have to worry about all of those little details! Thank you also for letting me babble on incessantly about this show for the last year. I am happy that you agreed to be a part of it.
Kris- The students and I have enjoyed working with you immensely. Thank you not only for taking charge of the pit band but also for being so flexible with our crazy, snowy schedule. I was grateful many days for your words of encouragement and reassurance that things were on schedule and headed in the right direction. I could not do a show like this without your musical skills and expertise, so I appreciate you more than you know! The show sounds beautiful, and that is due in large part to your efforts.
Erika- I owe you the biggest thank you of all. Thank you for taking on the heavy responsibility of choreographing all of the dance numbers in this challenging show, among many other things! Your vision and creativity have helped to make this show what it is, and both the students and myself are thankful for your efforts. I most certainly could not have done this show without your involvement. We make a wonderful team, and I think that we can safely call our first musical a success! I look forward to working with you in the future.
