    Laura T. Garza is the Founding Executive Artistic Director of Teatro Audaz San Antonio and Faculty Instructor at San Antonio College. She has an AA in Drama from SAC, a BA in Theatre Arts from UIW, and an MFA in Directing From Texas State University. She has trained with The Oregon Shakespeare Festival and abroad with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Laura is ecstatic to return to the stage after her last performance as Blanca in The Mesquite Tree was cut short by COVID. Some of her favorite roles include Queen Gertrude in Hamlet, Betty in Effects of Gamma Rays, Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Aida in Over The River and Through The Woods. Her portrayals of Carmen in Real Women Have Curves, and Grandma Kurnitz in Lost in Yonkers earned ATAC Globe awards for Supporting Actress in a Comedy and Lead Actress in a Drama. Last but not least, she would like to thank her family and friends for their unwavering love and support.

    Saphire Mendez (Angustias) is very excited to be making their Teatro Audaz acting debut. Favorite acting credits include, Emma in Over the River and Through the Woods, Masha in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and their ATAC awarding performance as Lavinia Penniman in The Heiress at San Antonio College. They've most recently been seen gracing the stage at the Overtime Theater as the Judge in Judgment of the Eye. Saphire would like to thank the entire team of ¡Bernarda!, the The Overtime, and their family and friends, for making performance this possible.

    Anastacia Islas is the Theatre Arts Director at Marion High School in Marion Tx. She has a BA in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and also studied theatre at San Antonio College. She has recently graduated with her MA is also in Theatre Arts at Texas A&M Commerce! Last year she took part in two shows with Teatro Audaz, such as Luchadora! As Associate Director and Somewhere Over the Border as Ensemble, previous shows include La Pastorela, The Panza Monologues Tour, The Mesquite Tree, and Bad Hombres/Good Wives where she won an Alamo Theatre Arts Council award for best supporting actress! She is super excited to be telling Latinx stories with such wonderful and talented people. She would like to thank her family and students for their support!
