Kaela Mariano
as Maria
Kaela is excited to be taking up the role of a choreographer as well as playing Maria. She is a sophomore at Tech High who’s been performing since 6th grade in the Drama program at Lawrence Jones Middle School. Since then, she has been a part of the Spreckels Education Program. Some of her previous roles include Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Paulette in Legally Blonde, Gabriella in High School Musical, and the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical. This is her 3rd production to choreograph, followed up by last year’s showcase and Elf the Musical at LJMS. She will be making her professional debut in Spreckels Theatre Company’s Matilda the Musical this May.

Ethan Park
as Tony
Ethan is a new member of the drama team and excited to be so. Although being new to the team, he does have some prior experience with productions in the past; being in Mulan and Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night's Dream. However, theater is not his only interest. He has a wide array of hobbies, ranging from being president of the cooking club to the captain of the golf team to being a six-year veteran at the flying frog parkour academy.

Samuel Petro
as Riff
Samuel Petro is excited to be in West Side Story in the brand new theatre program at Tech High. He is very active in local theatre, performing most recently as Freidrich in SRJC’s production of The Sound of Music. Some of his favorite roles he has played include Kenickie in Grease, Aladdin in Aladdin, and Dr. Horrible in Dr. Horrible. He enjoys singing at church and in the Tech High Choir. He also plays tenor saxophone in the Tech High Band.
