Tesoro High School Theatre Arts

 End Notes

Did you know...?

The Tesoro High School Theatre Arts Department is self-sufficient, deriving its entire operating budget from ticket sales, donations, and fundraisers. This means we depend on the generosity of our patrons, parents, and businesses in the community. Their support, in addition to fundraising, provides money for our productions, choreography, sound, lighting, costumes, set design, administrative expenses, and acting coaches, as well as operating costs, including production rights, music rentals, theatre equipment, tools, lumber, paint, computers, lighting equipment, and office supplies.

You can support our efforts by buying a ticket or two for our raffle baskets, purchasing THS Theatre Arts merchandise, becoming a patron, or donating any amount to our program.

Students who take drama classes develop poise and an appreciation of the arts. They learn to express themselves and communicate effectively. This gives them an edge in almost any major they pursue in college and the job field. We have alumnae who are now pursuing everything from acting to law degrees.

Drama classes can fit into the schedule of any freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior. Certain required courses can be deferred to the junior or senior year or can be taken during the summer, freeing up time for Beginning Drama. Many students take arts classes all four years of high school, and every year, we have at least one senior who auditions for their first play and tells us that it was the best experience they ever had in high school. It’s never too early or too late to take a performing arts class. If your child is an entering freshman or enrolled at Tesoro High School, ask Ms. Des Palmes how you can fit a drama class into your schedule.

Thank you for being here tonight to support these hardworking students; your continued support is always deeply appreciated.
