    as Narrator/ Mysterious Man

    Melia is so excited to be performing as the Narrator and the Mysterious Man in this year’s production of Into the Woods, and is especially happy to be part of the first Upper School show in the new Simpson Center! Melia is a sophomore, enjoys hiking, singing in the Baldwin B-Flats, and participating in clubs such as Mock Trial, Outdoors Club, SALSA, and the school newspaper, the Hourglass, for which she is a staff writer. Melia’s previous roles include the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, Gertrude Stein in Chamber Music, and Georgina in Arlecchino and the City of Love. Melia would like to thank her family and friends for being so supportive of her passion for theatre, the incredibly talented cast and crew of this show for making it such an amazing experience, and her wonderful directors, Mr. Bennett, Ms. Renee, and Lolly, without whom this show would not have been possible.

    Lauren Fosnocht

    as The Witch

    Lauren Fosnocht (Witch) is a junior, and this is her fourth Baldwin Maskers production. She performed in Meet Me In St. Louis, Arabian Nights, Alice in Wonderland, Laughter and Cake (for which she received a nomination for ‘best featured actress in a play at the Cappie Awards), Chamber Music (for which she received a nomination for ‘best lead actress in a play at the Cappie Awards), and Arlecchino in the City of Love, at Baldwin. Lauren is very active in as an Baldwin Arts League representative and in the theater department. She sings in the B-flats and chorus and she hopes to pursue theater in college. She has profoundly enjoyed her first Baldwin musical and is extremely excited to be performing in the Simpson Center for the first time!
