Dazay Burnett
as Narrator
(Junior) 17, is beyond ecstatic to be involved in this production of Passing Strange. After seeing the 2008 production on Broadway, he fell in love with the show and always dreamed of being in it one day. This is his third main stage production with B’DAT, with his most recent role as Giuseppe Naccarelli in Light on the Piazza. Dazay is passing as a goateed professional guitarist!

Justin Armstrong
as Youth
(Senior) is thrilled to be in his last B'DAT production and he hopes you enjoy the show. Other performances he has been in include The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Machinal, As You Lie It, Light in the Piazza, and Spring Awakening. He would like to thank all of his friends and family for all of their love and support. Justin is going to continue his actor training at Adelphi next year.

Merlixse Ventura
as Mother
(Senior) is so excited to be in her first musical! In the past Merlixse was in B'DAT's The Last Days of Judas Iscariot and has had a story featured on The Moth Radio Hour on NPR. When Merlixse is not acting she is learning about medicine in The Lang Youth Medical Program and watching reruns of How I Met Your Mother. Merlixse is passing for awesome, when in reality she is only kinda cool.

Julia Gilban Cohen
as Desi/ Stewardess
(Senior) marks her fifth and final main stage with Passing Strange. Previously she was in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, The Light in the Piazza, As You Like It and Spring Awakening. Though it is bittersweet to think about, Julia hopes to keep creating and writing at the Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison. Julia is passing as as an average American girl when really she's not very American at all.

Sonia Bloom
as Keyboard1/ Heidi
(Senior) is excited to be finishing her high school career with Passing Strange. She performed in five choir shows, was in Spring Awakening, and has become the designated “plunker” turned Music Director in training. Sonia is passing for a normal teenage girl when in fact she would rather stay home knitting and watching old movies. She'll continue making music (and farming) at Oberlin College.
