Mary Poppins - March 19 -

The Catholic High School Of Baltimore

 End Notes

Wow!! What a tremendous amount of work our students put into this show. When I chose Mary Poppins, I was not aware of the enormous amount of effort it was going to take to produce it. The dance numbers alone…. Luckily, I was blessed to have our very own Julia Williams ’17 to be our full-time Choreographer!! Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, in itself, was a remarkable accomplishment.  Julia is a Godsend!

Some of you may know that I don’t have a musical bone in my body, so the incredible Mr. Andrew Young stepped up to the plate and ran our Music Program for the show. I would be lost without him.

Mrs. Brown did a wonderful job of helping the girls with their songs and the rest is now history.

I would like to thank Mary Teresa McHugh Jerscheid '78 for lending us the fabulous umbrella for Mary Poppins. It is gorgeous!

Once again, Gabby Grant ’20 gave us amazing ideas for costumes, as well as creating “The Family Heirloom” full of gingerbread stars.  Gabby also made the whimsical “Valentine” doll with the removable arm.  We love when she visits!

Mr. Jeff DiLorenzo (parent ’17) has created almost all our amazing set pieces. For this show, he made the giant Birdcage and the mini Birdcage. He is so talented!

Of course, I want to give a special shout-out to our phenomenal SENIORS!!  Taylor Brooks, Mary Cook, Cynthia Covington, Ella Driver, Crystal Olemgbe, Johanna Schussler and JoJo Taylor have been the backbone of our productions over the past four years.  We will miss them dearly.

Lastly, thank you for sending your super-talented daughters to The Catholic High School of Baltimore!!
