Little Shop of Horrors - May 28 - May 30, 2015

The Clinton Sch Wri and Arts

 NOTES and THANK YOU

I am so very proud of the show you are going to see tonight. It has come together after months of hard work and dedication, lots of laughs, and a few tears. But I can honestly say that everyone in the cast has had a moment of stepping up, being a leader, and that has brought the show to a whole new level. So thank you to the parent and guardian volunteers, musical director Jackie Moe, set designer Matt Turkle, program director Matt Grant, to the band, and most of all to the students! Break a leg and in the words of Audrey Two, "Go git it!"

Matt Steiner, Director

I can’t believe we reached show time!  This has been such and fun challenging experience. I continue to be amazed by the amount of creativity and talent from these young people. Little Shop of Horrors is a funny and entertaining show with very challenging songs that pull together several characters and emotions. Your children and students definitely stepped up to the plate! I want to thank Matt Steiner, who found a way to organize 40+ middle school students on stage and Matt Grant who dealt with all logistical issues and made our songs and scenes into a full-blown musical! Thank you to Principal Jon Levin, Vice Principal Cheryl Goett, and all other teachers and administrators and parents who support our efforts. Thank you to our musicians and stage crew. Thank you to all the cast, crew, and musicians! BREAK A LEG!
Jackie Moe, Musical Director

From my first meeting at Clinton, I was told what a special place the spring musical held in the hearts of the school community. When they asked us to run it this year as part of after-school, I felt like I had been handed an awesome responsibility. I was incredibly lucky to have Matt and Jackie, who worked together flawlessly all year to make this show a hit. It’s been great working with you both. To the talented cast and crew of Clinton students who auditioned and devoted hours a week to rehearsal, thank you for lending us your talents. Thanks to Matthew Turkle and our Set Design class, as well as the musicians and many parents and volunteers who gave their time in building, painting, donating props, or putting up with my one thousand emails. More than anything, I’d like to thank Jon Levin, Ashlea Clark, and the PA, who truly partnered with us every step of the way. This show would not have been possible without all of you!
