Almost, Maine - February 27 - February 28, 2021

The Drama Company NYC

 End Notes

Dear Theater Goers,

Welcome to Almost, Maine! When we announced this show, we were stuck by the number of people who have a personal connection to this play. John Cariani's Almost, Maine made it's off-Broadway debut in 2006. In the intervening years it has made it's way to being one of the most produced plays in America, and the number one play produced at Highschools. We are thrilled to explore it's themes of love - the good, the bad, and the everything in between though the lens of "Pandemic Theater."

Our production was staged (with exquisite direction by Sara Laursen) on a backyard patio in the Harlem neighbordhood of New York City. With strict COVID safety measures in place we were able to safely gather together out of doors to perform this play.

We are excited about what the future holds for The Drama Company as we continue to build our digital streaming audience. We look forward to presening an out door production of Lilies, or The Revival of a Romantic Drama by Michel Marc Bouchard, English translation by Linda Gaboriau. This stunning new staging will be available to stream at the end of March.

In April we will tackle the ambitous task of presenting The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later in digital streaming repertory. Known together as The Laramie Project Cycle, both plays are rarely performed togethe. This will be only the third time these plays have been seen together in New York City. We hope to you continue you support of The Drama Company NYC by returning to stream these future productions. More information can be found at www.tdcnyc.org

Thank you and enjoy the show.
