Alric Davis
Co-Director/Founding Artistic Director (The Sankofa Collective)
Alric is driven by the age-old tradition of preserving history through storytelling. Since 2013, he has served as the Founding Artistic Director of The Sankofa Collective. He holds a B.F.A. from Howard University with a concentration in Musical Theatre and Playwriting. Some of his favorite directing credits are Twelfth Night, The Bodyguard, Julius Caesar, Eclipsed, Burden of Proof, Marie Antoinette, Next to Normal, Miss Evers Boys, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Wiz (2019 – Broadway World Award winner). Alric is also a commissioned playwright with Remember The Resurrection in 2024 and Reap the Reparations for Theatre Alliance in D.C in 2020. His original play Different, Damaged, Damned appeared at the D.C. Capital Fringe Festival, his work Queen Peaches appeared at The Tank in New York and his play Bashful and the Noize won the 2021 Page to Stage Festival for the Kennedy Center.
Logan Vaden
Co-Director/Founding Artistic Director (The Garden Theatre)
Logan began directing under the mentorship of Tony-nominee, Kevin Cahoon. He has directed on stages such as BAHBT, Iconotheatrix, Inspiration Stage, Triple Rock Theatre, Express Children's Theatre, Children's Museum Houston, and Miller Outdoor Theater, among others. In 2014, he co-founded Iconotheatrix and served on it’s board until 2019. Directing credits include: Bonnie & Clyde, Cruel Intentions: The '90s Musical, While Childhood Slept, Into the Woods, Heathers (BWW nom- Direction), Carrie (BWW nom- Direction), [title of show], Hairspray, Dani Girl, The Great Zoo Switcheroo, Dear Edwina, and numerous concerts and cabarets. His performance credits include work at Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre, Bayou City Concert Musicals, The Country Playhouse, Inspiration Stage, and Stageworks. Some favorite acting credits include: Evita (Che), Seussical (Horton), Into the Woods (The Baker), Big River (Huck Finn), West Side Story (Tony), and RENT (Mark).
