The Wizard of Oz (RSC 1987) - July 14 - July 17, 2022

The Lincoln Theatre Guild

 THANK YOU

From the Directors - THANK YOU

WELCOME to the Lincoln Theatre Guild's summer musical and the concluding production of the 2021-22 season, THE WIZARD OF OZ. Our cast has been rehearsing since April to bring this classic story to the stage. As with every production, there have been "bumps in the road" that we have had to overcome to get us production ready. We have had a lot of fun along the way and we hope you are going to enjoy yourselves as much as we have.

There are numerous people who have made this production come to fruition and MUCH APPRECIATION is given to them.

First and foremost, the LTG Board of Directors, who had the foresight that our community needed the reminder that "There's no place like home." They have spent many hours helping us get this show ready to hit the stage.

The Lincoln Cultural Center & the James W. Warren Citizens Center, for allowing us rehearsal spaces in both buildings whenever and wherever.

State Farm Insurance, Billye J. Roland Agency,  our Title Sponsor, for supporting theatre and the arts in Lincolnton, and being such good friends!!!

Our Sponsors, for supporting the Lincoln Theatre Guild with this massive production! We could not do theatre without our community behind us!!

Cathy Davis, for always supporting and encouraging the arts in our community, the LTG and, most importantly, your friendship.

Mike Wirth, for the countless hours with costumes, sets and props, making sure they are THE BEST!! Your passion is boundless and contagious. What an amazing actor, designer & friend!!

Jennifer Raimey, for all of her help with sponsorships and the playbill!  You are awesome!!

Michael Sisk, your musical talents and dedication to our productions are unparalleled! I don't know how we ever performed a musical without you!!

Kelley Barker and Morgan Wise, for the hours teaching, reteaching and teaching again all the dances so that ALL the actors, especially those non-dancers, look amazing!!

Dean & Lori Wise, you both do whatever is asked of you, like building sets out of "thin air," collecting money, selling tickets or making a prop. You both are INVALUABLE to the LTG and to us as friends!!

OUR CAST, because without YOU there would NOT be a show for us to bring to our audience. We have overcome many obstacles to get to this point: absences (due to COVID, vacations, & other various reasons), long & hard (& fun!) rehearsals, many who have NEVER been in of a live musical production and having to learn all there is to learn in a short amount of time. But, here we are, ready to perform for a real live audience!!  You all have amazing talents and we have been so honored and proud to have shared "the stage" with all of you. We hope you have FUN telling this well-loved classic story. And always remember "DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE!"
