Mark Mason

Playwright

Mark Mason is a former newspaper columnist who graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University and is the Artistic Director of the Joliet Drama Guild. A playwright, director and photographer, Mark has worked in theatre for thirteen years and has had productions of his work in Chicago, Los Angeles and his hometown of Joliet, Illinois. Mark most recently wrote the screenplay for the horror movie TERRIFYING TALES OF THE SPANISH LADY, an anthology film of stories taking place during the 1918 influenza pandemic, which received its world premiere at Hollywood Blvd Cinema in Woodridge, Illinois in June 2021. He is proud to be working with this talented group of artists and thanks you all for supporting live theatre.

Brie Carter

As a first year Fringer and scholarship winner, Brie Carter is making her producing debut with the World Premiere of JUNK GIRLS by Mark Mason.

She would like to thank all those that served in the military for their hard work and sacrifice as well as their families and loved ones for theirs.

She would also like to thank the many beautiful humans that came together to make this dream a reality -- the writer for creating this powerful story with poignant characters, the cast for all their insanely hard work and soul they poured into the play, the crew for their care and determination in the project, and the director for captaining this crazy company of misfits. “Baby, You’re the Greatest.”

Stephanie Mayer

Stage Manager

This Southern California native worked at several different law firms while completing her B.A. in History at California State University Fullerton.

Her theatrical credits include Red Meat, Pandora's Box, Marry, Fuck or Kill, 4 Crimes, Play Noir and Firelight. She recently starred in commercials for Hilton Hotels, State Street Financial, Crepe Erase and Cadillac. Her hobbies include hiking, yoga and hanging out with a pup named Coffee. Thank you Brie for this opportunity to stage manage this special project.
