    Mamma Mia joins the list of shows Michael has directed for Norwood Theatre. Included on that list are Peter Pan, Bye Bye Birdie, Private Lives, Cabaret and Hairspray. Michael also has a passion for performing as well as directing. His performance in Ragtime at Company Theatre earned him an IRNE nomination for best supporting actor. Michael also recently appeared in the Moss Hart award winning musical Paragon Park, which he co-wrote. Michael wishes to thank the superb cast and crew. Extra special thanks to Susan Lewis, Ed DiMarzio and Amy Judd, his friends, family and M.R. for all of their support. If anyone is watching tonight, wishing they were on stage or a part of theatre, it's never too soon or too late. Make friends, make art and make a difference.

    Matthew Cunningham

    Music Director

    Matthew Cunningham is the choral director at Brockton High School where he conducts five choirs, teaches piano classes, and is musical director for the spring musical. Choirs under his direction have consistently earned superior ratings at state and national festivals. They have performed at Eastern Division conferences of the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. The BHS Concert Choir has sung in the MICCA Gold Medal Showcase yearly since 2014, and most recently earned 2nd place in The American Prize in Choral Performance. Matthew received his B.A. in Music Education from Providence College, where he graduated with honors, and is pursuing his M.M. in Music Education from Florida State University. Matthew maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. He also keeps busy as a freelance musical director and pianist for local theatre companies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
