Notes from the Director
I’ve been involved with the Richland Players since the early 70s (my high school years)I have done many, many different volunteer jobs, like building sets, stage managing, being a house manager, a show producer, to a board member, and even directing plays.
I also remember going to some of the shows at the old Village Theater on George Washington way.
Isn’t it nice to know that our community theatre has been around 75 years? Do you know it’s one of the few things that a person can be involved with at any age? We’ve had kids younger than 5 years old and people past their 80’s. They are working and being involved in many ways.
So don’t say l’m too old, or too young to do it. The theatre is something we can all get involved with by being a volunteer, coming to shows, and in many other ways. Our own community theater is always looking for donations to keep the doors open and a roof on it,like it needs right now.
Ok, I want to thank you all for reading this and please, l hope you enjoy tonight’s show and come back for next season’s plays because without you, we wouldn’t be here.
