Gisela Estrada
Scenic Designer
Gisela Estrada is a Helen Hayes Award-nominated Latina scenic designer for theater, opera, dance, and live entertainment based in Washington, DC. She earned a Master’s in Scenic Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and also holds a degree in architecture from the Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado. In 2023, Gisela was honored with The Kenan Fellowship from the Kennedy Center. Her work has been showcased in prominent theaters across Washington, DC, Portland, New York, North Carolina, and San Salvador. She has had the privilege of collaborating with distinguished designers and directors in the theater industry.

Mrinali Thinwali

Mrinali Thanwani is a visionary scenic designer and artist hailing from India, dedicated to crafting transformative environments for stage and screen. With an MFA in Scenic Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, her impressive portfolio includes work across plays, musicals, operas, and film. Notably, she has served as Assistant Art Director on Bollywood films and commercials and is currently the Scene Design Kenan Fellow at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Her design credits feature *Lo Frate Nnamorato* and *Polaroid Stories* at UNCSA, along with collaborations as an associate designer on *Babbitt* (Shakespeare Theatre Company) and *Sweeney Todd* (UNCSA). Mrinali has contributed as an assistant designer on Broadway's *Death Becomes Her*, the SAG Awards, and notable productions like *The Mountaintop* (Alliance Theatre) and *Putting It Together* (Pioneer Theatre Company).
