Curtains - February 26 - March 01, 2015

The Solebury School

 End Notes

Notes From the Director-

Curtains has been a labor of love right from the start.  I am extremely proud of my talented cast and crew. A truly successful production however, involves more than what we see onstage. It is the creation of a true "family." It becomes a group of amazing people pulling toward the goal of creating a fantastic show.  You would all be so proud of how your children, our students, support, cheer, and help each other. You turn one way or another during rehearsal and in each corner of the room someone is helping another with their lines, a small group is practicing our choreography and in another, two heads are scrunched together working on a harmony.  I am so lucky to see all of this every day.

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the seniors in our Production.  This is my fourth year here at Solebury, so most of this group has been with me since both of our freshman year!  They hold a very special place in my heart.

To My Seniors:

This is so bittersweet!  As our time together grows shorter, I just want you to enjoy every moment of each show. You have worked so hard and have performed so beautifully that I can't imagine Solebury without you! On the other hand I can't WAIT for you to go out into the world and show it what you have shown me.

  • Hannah- You have the biggest, warmest heart of anyone I know. Your spirit and voice are just perfect!
  • Sasha- A breathtaking amount of talent and courage wrapped in a tiny package. You are a light, Sasha. A star.
  • Haley- Theater comes out of your every pore. You are the living, breathing personification of theater. You are gorgeous on the outside but more importanly, on the inside.
  • Abbygail-My logical, sensible, mature girl. I'm glad I also know and love your WACKY side! You are the sweetest most caring, dedicated person.
  • Zonia-The world better watch out for you! You are so vibrant and strong. That voice! Fantastic!
  • Hester- You are my lobster. How will I ever put on a show without you? Thank you for making me want to be a better teacher and director.

Well now I need to stop typing because I am crying on my keyboard. I love you all my seniors.

We would like to add a special dedication of this show to a lovely man that provided Solebury School with a good portion of its lighting.

Rest in Peace

Bob See
