Logan J. Smith
Music Director
Logan J. Smith made his debut with The Studio Theater as lead guitarist for the 2016 production of Rock of Ages. Since then he has played guitar or bass for several productions including Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and worked as a sound engineer for James and the Giant Peach and The Graduate. Previously he’s played for Jesus Christ Superstar (UCA), Bare (TWT), and The Theory of Relativity (PA). Logan is a multi-instrumentalist, focusing on Guitar, Bass, Trombone, and Electronic Music, and holds Master Instrumental Conducting and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from the University of Central Arkansas. He is also a BMI composer and has had compositions and arrangements performed all over the world, including the International Trombone Festival in Birmingham, England, and the North American Saxophone Alliance in South Carolina. His current job is Professor of Music at UACCM and he lives in Conway with his wife Allison and their daughter, Lauren Joy.

JP is blessed to be creating at The Studio once again with friends old and new. He currently serves as Director of the YP Second Stage youth program, sits on the American Assoc. of Community Theatre’s National Board Of Directors representing Arkansas and four surrounding states, and has been the Artistic Director of The Studio since 2015. He has directed a number of shows at TST, including Kinky Boots, Gypsy, SpongeBob, Spring Awakening, Xanadu, Rock of Ages, Beautiful, and Fun Home. Justin is also an award-winning scenic and lighting designer and was awarded the Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship for Theatre Directing in 2020. Recent graduate of Artists Inc., facilitated by the Mid America Arts Alliance. Graduate of UCATheatre.
