    Erik Archilla

    Director

    Erik graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baylor University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. He has been teaching at the Richardson High School Theatre Magnet since 2006. He has directed many plays at RHS, such as By the Bog of Cats, Lord of the Flies, Into the Woods, and Chicago. In 2018, he was named an RISD STARS Teacher. Outside of school Erik is an actor for the stage. He has also done voice over work for anime and commercial radio. He is also co-creator, writer, and producer of the critically acclaimed audio drama podcast “1865,” which currently has almost 7 million downloads.

    Elizabeth Adsit

    Music Director

    Elizabeth Adsit is in her third year as the Head Director of Choral Activities and nineteenth year at Richardson High School, where she teaches the Acappella Choir, Varsity Treble, Varsity Men, JV, and Legacy. Under Mrs. Adsit’s direction, her choirs consistently earn Sweepstakes at UIL Competition. She has enjoyed working sound for musicals and recently she took on the role of musical director. Mrs. Adsit graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in the RISD in 2001. She received a Bachelor of Music degree with a minor in Education in 2005 from The University of North Texas. She currently serves as the TMEA Region 20 Vocal Chair. Mrs. Adsit is a current member of the Texas Choral Directors Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators Association. She was honored to receive the PTA Golden Eagle Service Award in 2013.

    Assistant Musical Director

    Ms. Watson is so excited to continue as the Assistant Music Director for the Richardson High School Musical, Spongebob! Ms. Watson graduated from RHS in 2010, and studied Music with an emphasis in Recording Technology at the University of Texas at Austin. She was the elementary music teacher at Spring Creek Elementary for 4 years, and is in her 3rd year as the Associate Choral Director here at RHS. Go eagles! In her free time, Ms. Watson loves binge-watching her favorite Bravo reality shows, making lattes at home, trying a fun Pinterest recipe in the kitchen, spending time with friends & family, and going for walks at White Rock! She is endlessly proud of her students in choir and theater, break a leg!
