From the Director:
Push Up is my push up.
I applied to direct this show December of 2013 and with the help of my mentor Quetta Carpenter, I have finally directed my first published show. Through this process, I have learned more about acting, directing, managing, leading, and navigating university bureaucracy; all with my dream cast and beyond amazing creative team and production staff. I hope to become established as a director both to myself and to the university. I hope this inspires others to look at both the available opportunities and the lack thereof within the department, especially for directors. I hope to inspire others to push for making the change they want, starting right here.
