NOTES FROM THE CEO
Welcome to our fourth year of Theater of Hope! We bring you family entertainment with a message that can be enjoyed by everyone that walks through our doors. The idea for Theater of Hope was formed from a youth mission trip in 2019. This idea was then brought to life by several youth from the Fort Worth metroplex when they presented our first production of "A Christmas Carol – A Radio Play".
In 2021, Theater of Hope was able to regain momentum after the pandemic and put on an outstanding performance of "It's a Wonderful Life - A Live Radio Play". In spring of 2022, with God’s help and the talent of all our cast and crew, we were able to bring an exciting, comical, but meaningful production of "The Princess and the Pea". In fall of 2022, Theater of Hope was proud to bring back and present their initial production of "A Christmas Carol – A Radio Play" consisting of a brand new cast.
Now in the Spring of 2023, we bring you a known production "The Wizard of Oz. Within this play there is a message to be heard, life is not a do it yourself project. It takes all of us, God, friends, relationships, and community to make it down the yellow brick road. It is always Theater of Hope's mission to bring a message with the production that is performed. This play is no different. We find in Ecclesiastes 4:12 "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."
Since my husband and I have started this faith-based community theater, we have been so blessed by God with the people we have encountered along the way including our cast, crew, and audience. We would like to thank all our board members, Don Davis-President, Laura Schweizer-Marketing director and Treasurer, Lauri Krumm-Technical director, and Leslie Vargas-Administrative Assistant. We would also like to thank all our cast and crew, because without them we would not be able to perform for our community, and thanks to St. Paul UMC for providing a home for us to perform in. Finally, we would like to thank all of our families and patrons for supporting Theater of Hope. Enjoy the show!
Sincerely,
CEO/Founder
