Notes From The Director
I am extremely proud of this production and it is very close to my heart. The quality of this cast, this stage crew, the supporting staff and officers is outstanding. A truly successful production, more than what you will see on stage. The development for this production involved teamwork and flexibility. I am so proud to have witnessed and shared in the growth of each individual performer and creative mind.
My partner and I popped in to West Humber Collegiate Institute one afternoon in 2024 and shared a vision. At the end of the pitch I simply asked; ‘Do you trust me?’ If you do stand-up’. Every student stood. At that time we had no funds, no costumes or props, nothing! Just a vision. These students put their egos and doubts aside and auditioned only to discover that they are truly talented, with the gumshun to take on one of the hardest musicals out there. The commitment, drive and professionalism of these young ‘Stars’ in the making was something to watch.
I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to West Humber for graciously sharing your school family with Toronto Police. On behalf of all of us at 23 Division, we are excited and look forward to knowing you.
Parents and Guardians, thank you for allowing me to share my love of Musical Theatre with your young ones.
Principal Todorovich & Vice-Principal Yasi, you graciously listend to our plan, and you opened up your school to us. Jack and I truly thank you for this. Your doors were open on every visit. Thank you.
Ms. Jankul- Tavchar, Ms. Lockhart, and Mr. Thomas I thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. Congratulations on a great show!
'The overture is about to start, you cross your fingers and hold your heart- its's curtain time and away we go- another op'nin - just another op'nin of another show'
(from 'Kiss me Kate')
Tran! Thnk you for not forgetting about me and locking me in Cloakroom B' on the many late night spent at W.H!
To the Seniors of West Humber – This is bittersweet as we just met and we may or may not ever share the stage again. You will be graduating in a few weeks and I just want to say it has been an honor to direct you, and an absolute pleasure to know you. I do hope I see you on stage or on screen in the future!
