Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School of Magic and Magic - November 14 - November 23, 2019

Thurston High School

 Notes from the Director

Puffs. Those lovable badger people. The underestimated, the underloved, and the under- dogs! But in a story where everyone else seems to be the hero, don't we know that we are all the hero in our own story?

Puffs have such beautiful qualities, such as loyalty...great at taking naps...teamwork...perserverance... and OPTIMISM! We truly should take a page out of their book, because Puffs teach us that it's fine to fail- but true failure is when we stop trying. I believe that students have such a HUGE lesson to learn from the Puffs. We try and try and try, and eventually... one day... we'll get it!

I adore this show. It's hilarious, heartfelt, and happy! We get sucked into caring for this ragtag group of kids and holding disdain for our beloved Potter characters in such an easy and flawless way. I have been so impressed by what our actors and technicians have pulled out of this show and I will continue to shout it from the rooftops- WE HAVE SO MUCH TALENT AT THURSTON HIGH SCHOOL! Thank you for coming to support students and support the arts. You are a very important part of what we do, and we thank you.
