Welcome to Timber Creek Fine Arts Center!
We are thrilled to welcome you and your family to Matilda the Musical! We are so thankful that you have joined us for this performance.
We are pleased to share this with you and every third grader in Keller ISD. For some, this will be their first experience of live theatre. As we all know, live theatre is a gift to receive and share with others.
The story of Matilda is quite extraordinary. We celebrate life and the unmitigated potential that is contained within each person. Matilda overcomes the odds of her upbringing and chooses to make a difference in the lives of those around her. With grit and tenacity, she rises above and changes her story.
In these uncertain days, I am grateful for those who also display courage in the midst of fear and are determined to control their own narrative.
I am also comforted by the Miss Honeys in my life who have supported me and been a warm place to land.
What I love most about this story is the redemption that occurs for our heroines. Justice restores them and love is what keeps them together.
We as a directing team are so blessed by the talent of our students. We are overwhelmed with gratitude by the families that allow them to participate in the arts. We are grateful for the support we receive from the administration and district to make this production possible.
